Letting the word speak 1 Corinthians 11:

Back to Home page I will cut and paste from my on line Bible. If you use the Hebew names and titles please just change them as you read.

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. - 1Jo 2:27

Instead of cutting verses from this chapter to prove a point, as some do, all of 1 Cor. 11: will be here to read. It really starts up in chapter 10: You draw your own conclusions from the written Word lead by the Holy Spirit.

Get a piece of paper and write down the following points in the chapter to see all the conditions, who, why, when, if, comparisons, and the final conclusion of it all. The married woman and her husband is who it is talking to. When she is to do it. Why she is to do it. Who takes note of it. What the Heavenly Father takes note of. Pauls final conclusion.

Letting the Bible speak

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. - 1Co 10:31

Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God: - 1Co 10:32

Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved. - 1Co 10:33

( Here they were in a Greek culture talking to a Greek Church of God in Cornith, whose practice of covering the head was opposite of what the Jewish men and women did.)

Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. - 1Co 11:1

Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. - 1Co 11:1

Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the traditions, as I delivered them to you. - 1Co 11:2

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. - 1Co 11:3

Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head. - 1Co 11:4
Some Bibles have with this, in the Synagogue

But every woman THAT PRAYS OR PROPHESIES with her head uncovered dishonoureth HER HEAD: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. - 1Co 11:5

For IF the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: BUT IF it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. - 1Co 11:6

FOR a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but THE WOMAN IS THE GLORY OF THE MAN 1Co 11:7

For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man. - 1Co 11:8

Neither was the man CREATED for the woman; but the woman FOR THE MAN. - 1Co 11:9

FOR THIS CAUSE ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels. - 1Co 11:10 ( Aramic word is veil)

NEVERTHELESS neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord. - 1Co 11:11

For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; BUT all things of God. - 1Co 11:12

JUDGE IN YOURSELVE: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered? - 1Co 11:13

Doth not EVEN NATURE TEACHES YOU, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? - 1Co 11:14

BUT IF A WOMAN HAS LONG HAIR, it is a glory to her: FOR HER HAIR IS GIVEN TO HER FOR A COVERING. - 1Co 11:15

Some Bibles have
But if any man seem to be contentious, WE HAVE NO SUCH CUSTOM, NEITHER THE CHURCHES OF GOD. - 1Co 11:16
